ok you know i have a thing about toilets (they are not bathrooms! they do not have baths in them!)...anyway, i was in the US when the Larry Craig toilet incident broke and i was most curious to notice that though the media focused on cruising codes forEVER, not one story that I found ever mentioned the - to me - astonishing fact that you American people have ENORMOUS GAPS in your toilet stall doors. i don't just mean above and below the doors, but what's with the gaps along the hinges so you can see in? I mean, easily see in without even trying to. I find it weird particularly in a supposedly prudish nation. I find it weirder that no-one questions it.

They have hand baths I would say! Anyway, I imagine it has something to do with the way the culture here is in denial about homosexuality. Segregate the sexes, because we all know normal people aren't interested at all in the genitalia they have themselves. If someone does so much as get your junk in their peripheral vision, snarling at them should shame them enough to behave like a good little hetero. Because we all know that being interested in someone of your own sex is something to be ashamed of, right? RIGHT? Ok then boys and girls.

I don't know about those "enormous gaps". I don't think I've been in a stall where they're much bigger than a couple millimeters or so. They're not really big enough to see anything through unless you put your eye right up to them, and you wouldn't do that unless you were a filthy fucking pervert, now would you?!? WOULD YOU?!?!????!!!?!??

I KNEW IT. You're a god damn pervert! You like to go look in on people takin' care of their business, don't you! You ought to be ashamed! ASHAMED! Get your ass to church and let Jesus help you out with that, and maybe if you act ashamed and penitent for the rest of your life he might let you into heaven. PRAISE THE LORD.

you can see a lot through a couple of millimetres. suffice to say that every public toilet stall I have used in America gives a whole new concept to privacy.

I agree with you. The gaps are large enough to see quite a lot. I've had to tell starring kids to take a hike as they're trying to catch a glimpse of me peeing.

Why is this story filled with such detail until the very end?

Allen then said “this is kind of a public place isn’t it.” I said, “Do you have somewhere else we can go”. Allen said, “How about across the bridge, it’s quite [sic] over there”. Allen engaged me in conversation in which it was agreed that he would pay me $20.00 in order to perform a “blow job” on me. Allen stated that he wanted to ride with him across the river before he performed the act and gave me the money. Before entering Allen’s vehicle I identified myself as a police officer and detained him.

Notice the change in pronoun usage - Allen stated that HE wanted to ride with HIM across the river before HE preformed the act and gave ME the money.

I'm confused. Allen wanted the officer he was interested in giving a blow job too to ride with him (Allen) across the river? Or, was there another person involved?

I'm not saying he didn't do it - or that he did. However, I think there's something missing in this story.

Allen was the one wanting to perform oral sex on the occifer, yes. He may or may not have been interested in getting one himself.
