Today at walmart, there was an old lady in front of me at the register. After she unloaded her cart, she got out of the way. She moved her cart up past the register so that I could actually get my stuff on. I was flabbergasted. She also put the bags in her cart, instead of waiting for the cashier to do it.

When I say old, I don't mean older than me. I mean OLD. Like, 70s. Amazing.

That may be true, but we can always hope for a comeback. Maybe Obama will pick Hill as his running mate. Now that very unlikely thing would be terribly ironic.

McCain is going to win because he's white. That's just the way this country works. And it really really does piss me off that the democrats went for the only option that absolutely guarantees defeat this time, as pissed off as a lot of people are at the mess Bush has made.

So far I haven't heard anything about Obama that makes me want to hold my nose, but seriously, he's black. Oh I know we're not *supposed* to care, but people do. They're dancing around the issue, but I've heard a few people come up with reasons why Obama makes them uncomfortable. Like my mom, she heard has family in Kenya and says she wants someone "more american".

I was kinda hoping Bush AND Cheney would get impeached and removed, leaving us with Pelosi as the first woman president (even if she resigned almost immediately, it would have shattered that taboo).

I love it when people are aware of other people in the world. There are so many times at the grocery store when the person before me is loaded up, done paying and my things are being rung up....sometimes even DONE being rung up and I can't get to the debit machine because the previous person is still standing their straightening out the pictures in their wallet.

See, that just sounds like normal behaviour to me. Partly because we stopped having baggers about 20 years ago (at least), and it's never been in the cashier's job to load the trolley.
