loosechanjIs it bad that I think “beaner” is just about the funniest word EVAR? Actually, I love racial slurs in general. And racist stuff like the cartoons here. Or Stormfront. Not in the “hell yeah” sense, but in the Jesus that’s just fuckin’ funny sense. I like what Mel Brooks said about the Nazis, you have to laugh at them or they’ll just drag you down to that level. I’m speaking mainly about words here, not actions.
I think it’s because racism is such a weird and alien concept. Sure, it’s easy to make broad sweeping generalizations, but I find it impossible to actually interact with anyone based on any stereotype and I’m always disappointed when someone fits one too well. It probably helps that I haven’t actually encountered much real racism in my life. Stuff is always funnier when it’s not in your face.
