Shoes & Feet #7

I bought those in late '99/early 2000. And I just had the impulse to write my congressman because Nike can't make a damn pair of shoes that last a decade. *headsmack* (So don't anyone try to tell me I'm NOT old.) Anyway, yeah, I usually wear shoes so long people will buy me pairs out of pity. Especially my mom. She gave me a pair of sneakers awhile ago, so when the old faithfuls blew out like a really blowy thing, I decided to wear them. Big mistake. Apparently, size 12 is too small. I figured I just had to break them in. What I did was break my feet. Have you ever had those back of the ankle sores? Well, I walked miles in these teeny size 12s and tore gaping holes in the back of my feet. I came to the conclusion that the shoes were winning, so I went and bought a pair of size 13s that I can't properly break in because I can barely get those onto my blistered, infected, swollen feet. My right foot is ok now, at least it doesn't hurt. But how fucking long do I have to wait for my left foot to get back to normal? I swear it's gonna pop like a melon and I'm gonna be a gimp the rest of my life. (Big sad face.)
