I think it's going overboard, swimming to shore, then finding a bar and drinking several beers to take "don't use my name in vain" to mean "don't use my name at all". And it's just utter insanity to apply that to descriptive terms! You don't consider "girl" or "woman" to be a "name", at least I hope not.
It's an easy target for absurdly strict hyper interpretation I suppose, like the commandment against idols making "jewish sculpture" an oxymoron.
IMO, the whole point of the Mosaic law was to show people that having it all spelled out letter by letter didn't help one bit, and that all you really need is love.
